10-13.00 BUDOKON YOGA AND MATCHA CEREMONY

This workshop will open with a special Matcha Ceremony, led by Melayne. The session includes a beautiful Matcha bowl, handmade by a pottery artist, as a gift to you.

Melayne Shayne will guide you through a break down of the  Budokon Yoga Series. You will combine strong and circular sequence of yogic asanas, martial arts transitions, and animal locomotion. This powerful blend will increase your muscular strength, body control, and agility.  Complete the class having cultivated a pure witness state - zen mind.

Introduction to Stråla, make your own yoga: breathe, feel, move naturally

This is a workshop to explore and practice ease, both in movement and life. We’ll release some of the stress

and struggle from our bodies and minds, and use the principles of Stråla’s natural movement as a resource to find our unique and personal way of moving. 

We will play with the fundamental principles of Strala:

• Connecting movement with breath

• Tuning in with the sensations of our body

• Natural Movement

Combining all these principles in our experience on the mat will then help us to transfer and use these

tools into our daily life experiences, learning to face the situations we encounter in a more graceful, creative, efficient and more sustainable way in the long term.

CLASS 2: SPINAL MOBILITY
We take the activation that we created last week and start to move laterally, targeting some hard-to-reach places. We isolate and engage the supporting spinal muscles with a series of twists. We also learn how to move your limbs from your core, tapping into your body's inner intelligence!

10.30-12.30 Open Your Heart - Backbends

 

You will learn techniques to create space within your entire body while activating strength to support it. We will explore our spine's incredible range of motion by gaining a deeper understanding of its anatomy and how to safely open up the thoracic spine, shoulders and hip flexors to create a healthy, balanced backbend. We'll also work on strengthening the hamstrings, quads and hip flexors - learning active flexibility techniques to help us access postures, like splits, safely. 

Tension and emotions are hidden deeply in our bodies, often leading to a restricted range of motion. In this workshop, you will learn to move freely with strength and love for your body.

True physical flexibility is an extension of a flexible state of being: a state of conscious surrender.
In this 3 hour class, you will be introduced to Talia’s three-step flexibility method and learn to recognize and maybe even let go of the stubborn identification with resistance.
Using asana as a portal to inner space, we will unveil our own natural spacious presence one breath at a time.
